MedVault ("the app", "we", "us") is a privacy‑first medication tracker. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.

The short version: Your health data is stored on your device. We have no general‑purpose server, we don't run analytics or ads, and we don't sell or share your data. The one exception is the optional Ask MedVault AI assistant: if you choose to use it, your medication list and your question are sent to a third‑party AI provider (Moonshot AI) to generate an answer — see Section 5.

1. Who we are

2. What data the app stores

MedVault lets you record information such as:

• Profile: name, age, weight, biological sex (all optional).
• Medications: names, dosages, forms, schedules, what they treat, and supply/refill counts.
• Dose history: which doses you took, skipped, or missed, and when.
• Journal entries: mood, energy, sleep, weight, side effects, symptom ratings, and notes.
• Settings: reminder, appearance and feature preferences.

All of this is stored locally on your device in Apple's on‑device database. MedVault has no required account, and — apart from the optional features described in Sections 3, 4 and 5 — your information is never transmitted off your device.

Sign in with Apple (optional). You can use MedVault entirely without an account. If you choose Sign in with Apple, the Apple‑provided user identifier and the name Apple shares with us are stored on your device (the identifier in the device Keychain) to personalize the app and your doctor report. We have no server for this, so it never leaves your device, and you can remove it anytime in Settings → Account → Sign out.

3. iCloud sync (optional)

If you turn on iCloud Sync in Settings, your MedVault data is synced through your own private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit, so it stays consistent across your devices. This data lives in your personal iCloud container governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We have no access to it. iCloud Sync is off by default.
